BUSINESS

Obtaining the assistance of counsel on the front end can reduce the risk of a lawsuit and provide more control over potential outcomes. We work with clients to advise on a variety of general business issues to reduce potential litigation risks, including review of contracts and drafting of contract forms, policy review, responses to customer complaints, and compliance issues such as contractors and suppliers complying with applicable lien statutes for construction work and materials. MEDIATION

At The Ewing Firm, we put our many years of broad litigation experience to use helping others resolve their disputes. Melissa Ewing is qualified and trained in dispute resolution along with roster membership on approved lists in several state courts. Mediation allows parties to have a say in the outcome of their dispute in a way that can save time and costs, provide certainty, and allow for creative solutions that may not be available through the court process. I am a South Georgia native and "Double Dawg" graduate from UGA (the University of Georgia). I have practiced in Atlanta and the surrounding area for more than 20 years as a civil litigation attorney with a focus on business litigation, partnership and shareholder/member disputes, contract disputes, negligence, real estate and construction disputes, and defamation. I also have experience in the entertainment industry. I am a Certified General Civil Mediator in Georgia and enjoy helping parties work to resolve their disputes.
